The Tinker House

Navy and Air Force volunteers from Tinker AFB are making dreams come true this summer for a fellow veteran and his wife and son. Our Tinker friends have been a steady source of volunteer manpower for Central Oklahoma Habitat for many years, helping many family realize their dreams of home ownership.  They have once again given their heartfelt best in the spirit of military camaraderie while constructing a home for John S. and his family.

Over 15 days from July 15 to August 6, Navy and Air Force volunteers have worked through temperatures in the high 90s and low 100s, pleased to be helping to open the door to a new life in a basic, quality, affordable home for a fellow veteran.  John and his family are thrilled at this experience that is beyond anything they imagined as they build their new home with all these new friends.
